Welcome to Crescendo School of Music and Art.

We offer the highest standards of private music education in London and Bath (Somerset/Wiltshire) within the comfort of your own home. Our tutors teach at a time convenient for you and currently offer lessons in saxophone, flute, piano, singing, clarinet, violin, viola, guitar, percussion and music theory.

At the early stage of practice future goals are discussed together with parents and students, and whether music is your new hobby or you are looking to achieve results in graded exams, we will ensure that the learning process is enjoyable, fun and helps fulfil and discover your best potential.

GRADED EXAMS

At Crescendo School of Music and Art students are encouraged to study and practise towards ABRSM and RSL exams, covering all grades in Instrumental practice and Music Theory.

CONCERTS

At least twice a year CSOMAA organises concerts for all students to perform in, gain confidence and socialise at Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church, London and Bath.

Additional concerts are organised and held at Southgate Beaumont, London for students preparing for their ABRSM exams.

VISION

Do more of what makes you happy. If music is what really interests you and makes you smile, then come and join us in exploration, discovery and learning of this wonderful and creative form of communication.

VALUES

Individual approach, as everyone is unique and learns differently;

Play more of what makes you happy - the student is choosing the programme within the syllabus;

Quality of teaching - is curated and assessed on a regular basis;

Communication - regular term reports are sent to the students’ parents and handover is given right after the lesson on a weekly basis.

Vita Alekseyeva, founder and tutor at Crescendo School of Music and Art, comes from a differently structured approach of learning music to what we currently have in the UK. Educated in Latvia and learnt the best tradition of post-Soviet Russian Music School, where learning piano, solfege (music theory), literature, history and composition were all compulsory, no matter the instrument being learnt.

CSOMAA aims to take inspiration from these methods to ensure students are more diverse, talented and professional musicians who, above all, enjoy playing.

Therefore even very young children are introduced to the music theory, via colourful, fun, playful books and activities.

FIRST (TRIAL) LESSON POLICY

It is important to make sure the student and tutor enjoy studying together and have that special chemistry. Therefore at CSOMAA we offer an option of having a first trial lesson. Its policy is as follows: if for any reason student does not want to carry on after the first session, then it is free. However if it all went well and student signs up for further studies, this will be their first lesson charged for on the online invoice.
